Softboard Bones & Shanks Single Replacement Fin
The Softboard Bones & Shanks Single Replacement Fin is a replacement fin for a specific fin system used in Softboards and fun boards. The Bones & Shanks fin system is different than that used in most Softboards. To know if you’ve got Bones and Shanks see if you have the top of a screw on the deck of your board.
If yes, then your board does not use Bones and Shanks fins. If no, then check the bottom of your board. Are there fin boxes that sit up about 5mm off the bottom of your board? If yes, there’s a good chance you have Bones & Shanks.
Bones & Shanks use a fin box setup. You insert fins into boxes and secure the fins with screws. In this way they are more like traditional surfboard fins than the soft plastic Softboard fins. They give you a stiffer feel that equates to more drive and speed.
