Exile Traction Pad Arch Bar

The Exile Traction Pad Arch Bar is specifically designed for your skimboard. Unlike surfboard arch bars that are mostly rounded so your foot takes on the form of an arch allowing heel and toe movements for turns, this bar is flatter. This is because as your skimboard is much thinner than a surfboard you don’t need to apply as much leverage to go into big turns and moves. The low arch bar gives you a lot of sensitivity. Though subtle you can still feel it under your foot and it gives you just the right amount of support to do your moves on the otherwise flat skimboard tail.

The Exile Traction Pad ArchBar is almost essential for your skimboard. Without the bar you’ve only got wax as the alternative to traction. Wax on skimboards tends to wear or slide off. This is because of the flatter deck profile getting more direct pressure from your foot. Large patches become bare and you can easily slip. The bar can be positioned just where you need it and gives you a great point of traction. The bar is long and covers the area of your sweet spot from where you do most of your turns. Construction is of quality EVA with strong adhesive. Once applied the arch bar won’t come off. The bar is finished with the Exile logo on the center position.
