Sam Egan Thombstone Surfboard
The Sam Egan Thombstone Surfboard is a high performance take on the retro fish. From the outline, it has width and straight rails through the middle, like a fish. So you get lots of drive down the line. The nose though is tucked in. So you don’t get that fish bull-nose but a refined shortboard entry. The tail, while carrying the width and having a fairly straight outline, has a slight tuck so you get bite and fit in the pocket. A single concave runs to the fins where a double takes over. This makes for a fast controllable bottom with help going from rail to rail. A flat rocker and width provide plenty of speed and planning area.
The rails are modern shortboard style with a tucked under edge running the first half of the board. This gives you a mix of drive when you push into a turn with release as you change direction. The Thombstone gives you everything you need to have super high speed fun in smaller waves with the ability to crank hard turns on rail.
