Future Fins F6 Alpha Carbon Medium Tri Set sits right in the middle of the Future Fins collection. It’s  designed for you as a mid size surfer. The F6 Alpha is a well balanced design with a Ride Number of 5.5 so you get a balance between speed generation and control. F6 refers to the shape of the fin, and it’s between the F4 for smaller fin, and the F8 big template. The F6 base, while not large, gives you good positive drive and power transfer. At the tip the template is full so you get more drive. Extra area in the tip helps the board hold on the rail while carving a turn. Off the top the fin tip loads energy and releases resiliently as needed.

The Alpha material is carbon and air uniquely infused in the fin. It’s not carbon strips like older style application. The carbon particles can be varied in density from the base to the tip. So you get stiffness and drive at the base and flex and whipiness at the tip.

The Future Fins F6 Alpha carbon density gives you a power gradient so you get smoothly controlled performance under your foot. In addition the Alpha has a new 3D texture featured on the trailing edge. This reduces turbulence and drag so you get speed. The fin is noticeably fast and super light. Lighter than honeycomb.
