The Future Fins AM2 Techflex Five Set is a solid drivey fin to charge good waves. It’s the largest thruster fin from Al Merrick and comes with a ride number of 3.0 out of 10, so it gives you a lot of control. Consistently generating speed from the wave, the more you push the more drive you get. It has a wide base that accounts for the drive, and a medium size tip so there’s flex for release. The rake of the fin is low so it holds, both top to bottom and in big direction change carves. The five fin set gives you instant choice between and thruster and quad. As a quad it’s a great setup for a wider tail board or for surfers with strong back foot drive. The quad fins have a 80/20 foil so add a speed dynamic to the large size fins and won’t bog down. Construction includes Carbon Fiber with the Techflex pattern over honeycomb. The Techflex is good for good waves as its predictability helps you set up moves. The AM2 Techflex Five Set is for bigger surfers around 80kg in weight. These fins come with the Futures Truss Base so they are light.
