The Future Fins AM1 Thermo Tri Set gives high performance to your everyday surfing. AM stands for Al Merrick one of the world’s great shapers, shaper to 11 times World Champion Kelly Slater. So you know this fin works. It’s designed for the smaller to medium surfer.  As you push, the fin generates consistent drive and speed from the wave. So you get predictable fast performance. This allows you to setup big power moves when compared to flexi fins that wash out or boost unexpectedly. There’s a lot of backward curve, or rake, in the fin. So you get a lot of down the line drive and projection. This is great for longer walling waves. It holds in when you’re going top to bottom with more projection rather than pivot. It has a solid wide base for drive. The tip has flexibility so you carve into the wave.

Thermo refers to the Thermotech material. It’s ultra light with a consistent flex so as you come out of turns you’ll get smooth flow and release. The combination of resin composite and glass fiber in the Thermo delivers a perfect balance between flex and stiffness. These fins come with the Futures Truss Base that removes fin material while maintaining strength. The truss is designed to break under impact so the risk of injury or board damage is reduced.
