FK Wade Carmichael Tail Pad

The FK Wade Carmichael Tail Pad is the signature pad of World Surf League stand out Wade Carmichael. It’s designed to give you all round solid surfing. The 3 piece layout allows your side pieces to be placed closer to the rails. So your narrow and wide tail boards get good coverage. The centre piece has a high 10mm raised arch which is higher than most grips.

With grooves it gives the bottom of your foot support aiding with balance. The arch tapers down into the area before the kick starts. So your foot naturally fits into this wedge giving you a sweet spot of super positive traction. The FK Wade Carmichael Pad kick flattens out on top. So there’s a flat edge you can get the side of your foot against and really push on.

The sides of the pad feature holes that provide grip for your toes. An incut vee means you can place this grip closer to the end of your board, around your leg rope plug. This in turn allows back foot placement over your back fin so you get maximum drive. The grip features a Diamond pattern so no matter what angle your foot lands you get maximum traction.
