The Ocean & Earth Freaks Bug Softboard is a great Beginners and Grommets board. Unlike older style softboards that look like stunted Mals, the Bug is a rounded and curved modern shape. This gives a lot of fun being able to turn and scoot in and out of small waves near the shore. It’s got extra area and a Twin Fin setup giving speed. Speed is the essence of fun, so there’s plenty of it with the Freaks Bug. The fuller rounded shape also makes it easy to get to your feet. Fast & Fun

The foam core is EPS. This is highly buoyant foam so floats well. It’s also 100% waterproof so will not soak in water giving a long life to your board. Adding to durability the board includes 2 stringers. These are reinforcements inside the board that give strength. So they keep the board to its intended high performance shape. The bottom of the board features an HDPE slick, this is a high speed plastic similar to that on bodyboards. A key feature is the fin boxes. The boxes allow you to change fins so as you progress Pro fins can be used. The included fins have a soft rubber edge giving maximum safety. The deck is IXL foam that’s soft to lie on while being durable.

The Ocean & Earth Freaks Bug Softboard has fun graphics, is rated for exposure to summer sun, and comes with a 12 month warranty. There’s a wide size range too for every size of surfer.
