Futures F8 Alpha Carbon Quad Fin Set

The Futures F8 Alpha Carbon Quad Fin Set is full featured and high tech. The set includes four fins. So you get two front fins and two rear Quad fins. This is a great setup for high speed driving down the line. F8 refers to the shape of the fin. Alpha Carbon refers to the high performance construction. The F8 fin has a large base so you get good positive drive and power transfer. At the tip it’s full with sweep. This equates to speed and hold with down the line drive. There’s extra area in the tip so helping you hold well on the rail while carving a turn. Off the top the fin tip loads energy and releases resiliently as needed. So these fins feel lively. This fin is good for larger surfers, or smaller surfers wanting to maximise wave power.

Alpha

The Alpha material consists of carbon and air uniquely infused in the fin. So it’s not carbon strips like older style application. The carbon particles can be varied in density from the base to the tip. So the base is stiffer with more carbon giving super drive. The tip is flexi so you get spontaneous release. It’s all controlled by the carbon density  in a power gradient. So you get smoothly controlled performance under your foot. Without sacrificing strength. In addition, the Alpha has a new 3D texture featured on the trailing edge. This reduces turbulence and drag so you get speed. The fin is noticeably fast and super light. Lighter than honeycomb. The fins feature the Futures Truss Base.
