This allows you to get a great fit in your waist and lower back, an area where you need maximum warmth. Other vests have an elastic or rely on the neoprene that bags out. While giving you the best fit this zip allows getting the vest on and off to be super easy  while maintaining a great snug fit when you’re surfing. It’s also YKK brand so super durable. Construction of the vest is of 1.5mm duraflex neoprene. This is substantial enough to give protection from early morning chill and blustery arvo winds while still being ultra flexible for big moves and warm.
