The Dakine Launch Surf Traction Pad gives you coverage across narrow and wider tail boards. It features a substantial center arch, kick, along with holes and an aggressive traction pattern.

It’s an etched pad which means the diamond traction pattern is cut into the surface of the pad. So you get strong, long lasting traction. It can also give knee rash so if you have a sensitive knee this pad is best for use with a wetsuit. There’s plenty of holes so great for your toes to grip into.

The width of the pad at its widest point is 27cm. So if you keep the pieces together it will fit narrow and pin tail boards and grom boards. It’s a 3 piece pad so you can expand the side pieces and get coverage over wider tail boards too.

The arch pad is 7mm high, which is above average height. Yet it extends from the kick almost the entire length of the pad. This is great if you like arch bars as it gives your foot an additional contour to drive from and find your footing.

The kick is 25mm which is on the lower side. Working with the arch bar it provides a great sweet spot for the side of your foot to slot into and really drive your power surfing.  Bevelled edges decrease drag and 3M adhesive keeps the pad stuck.
