The Gorilla The Jane Tail Pad is a good all round grip. It has a 3 piece design. So narrow and wide tail boards get optimal coverage. The two side pieces can be opened up even around the deck plug so you can place the grip closer to the end of your board. With your back foot placed right over your back fin you get maximum drive. ItΒ incorporates an arch of medium height so you get support while being easy to move your foot around for best placement. Its shape naturally directs your foot to the base of the kick where you get the most drive.
The kick rises to a small flat section on top. This helps for progressive moves when your foot can land off centre but you still get contact and traction. The pyramid groove pattern covers the pad. These double pyramid shapes give you traction no matter what angle your foot lands. Numerous holes in the pad give light weight and also provide good toe grip. Durability is provided through advanced EVA construction. Tapering at the edge of the pad minimises water drag.
