Description
Komunity Project KP 30 Thruster Fins FCS
The Komunity Project KP 30 Thruster Fins FCS come out of a Kelly Slater initiative, the Komunity Project. Providing more control, the fins can be used in bigger waves. However, Kelly also advises he used bigger fins in smaller waves so as to harness as much wave power as possible. They feature only a slightly wide base and height than the KP 2.0 fins so provide a good transition. The side fins have a flat foil so along with the glass and resin construction you get a stable predictable point to drive from.
The Centre fins is slightly smaller. This is typical of Kelly’s fin setups and Julian Wilson also favoured this setup. This feature facilitates good release off the top, for big moves like tail slides or release into airs. Construction is of a special blend of resin glass with a honey comb inner core. They’re ultralight so don’t add anything in terms of weight, it’s all performance. The curling wave design is featured on translucent fins that are finished in Liquid Dynamic Technology with a lustre finish.
